To the OP, if you are coming from Kalamazoo, South Bend, etc, the problem is Delta will not release any low awards on the CRJ's for whatever reason to match up with anything. Just a few quick searches from DTW, ORD, or GRR, I came across a few all first routings. 1 for example was GRR-MSP (DL) MSP-SEA (AS) SEA-HNL (AS), on the return, it was HNL-SAN (AS) overnight, SAN-MSP (DL), MSP-GRR (DL), this was for 11/8 out and 11/16 back. Play around with the one way search, find the flights with availability and then go from there. AS has flights to HNL, OGG, and LIH from SEA, PDX, SAN, SMF, OAK, SJC, BLI - Bellingham, WA (this is always an easy coach or first redemption, and maybe some other west coast get aways I missed.
