Just got the following email from BART :
PRELIMINARY NOTICE OF IMPENDING CHANGES
Single Day Reserved and APLT (Airport)/Long-Term Patrons
You are receiving this email because you have an active BART parking reservation account with the BART parking vendor.
This email notification is to inform you that BART recently re-bid the contract for providing the parking permit on-line reservation system to BART patrons and as a result of that process has awarded the management of the on-line parking reservation system to Select-a-Spot effective July 1st, 2012. During the changeover, the online reservation system will not be available for use after 5PM Friday June 29th, Saturday June 30th or Sunday July 1st. However all reservations covering this period and that were made prior to the close of business on June 29th will still be honored and can be utilized without any disruption.
The transition from the current parking vendor to the new parking vendor will result in the need for you to re-register your credit card information and reset your password in order to protect the privacy of your consumer financial information. On July 2nd, 2012 you will receive an email from the new vendor asking you to log into your account with a temporary password and input your credit card data, change your password, acknowledge the terms of service outlined within the new licensing agreement, update your vehicle information and other information within your account profile. It is important that you update your account profile by July 7th.
Notwithstanding the change in vendors, any reservations you should make prior to June 29th will remain valid and the permit information will be transferred to the new vendor Select-a-Spot who will then begin billing you for future parking reservations beginning July 2nd, 2012.
Additional Changes
Beginning with the new contract, BART is making some changes to the “Rules & Regulations” pertaining to the purchase of permits. We are also taking this opportunity to update the terminology of the permit licensing agreement associated with the various permits sold at BART Stations. A copy of this licensing agreement can be viewed utilizing this link (licensing agreement). Please take a few moments to familiarize yourself with these changes.
This information circular is intended to inform BART patrons of eminent and pending changes and further contact and establishment of your account information with the new vendor will be forthcoming as we guide you through this transition.
Thank you,
BART Parking Division
The "licensing agreement" link in the email is broken, but I suspect it's supposed to point
