The original page was pretty clear about it, but they also haven't actually been operating under those rules so it has been somewhat confusing.

Knowing that they are changing the reality to more accurately reflect the rules is definitely useful information to have. Hearing that they are going back and changing things retroactively is even more notable and unfortunate. It also is a warning about all the other things that were mis-posting and that they might be changed.
