I am new to BA, I usually fly with BMI and *A and have switched some flights to BA to utilise matched Gold status.

I have booked two flights both in Economy to Toulouse (return) and Paphos (one way).

The Toulouse flights offers me an upgrade to Club Europe for a Small Fee each way(£69) and allowed me to choose the Exit Seat being a BA Gold member so I decided to leave the club upgrade for this short flight especially on my last trip last month the only real benefit of Club Europe really was the food.

For the flight to Paphos, I would like to upgrade the flights to CE as its a 4 hour flight, im being quouted a very high price, no special offer approx around £400.

When I select upgrade using Avios its doesnt proceed and find anything. Is this usually available? can you upgrade online easily?

Is there a chance you get more availability when calling them?

ALso do BA give you more availability or offers to upgrade on online check-in or at the airport?

As for seat selection for this flight, I cant choose any exit seats (row 11 & 12), why is that?
