Let's see if we can do a bulk order of eye shades/masks that have something silk screened on the outside to the effect of "I Already Have the Card". Wearing one of those in addition to ear plugs should allow for a peaceful descent...
I once overheard FAs talking in the Galley about the credit card apps and one said something like "I don't offer it in First because most of them already have it" and I thought that was wise. Then again, last month I was on a flight where a guy near me in FC rang his call button for an application, so I guess you never know.
