I've had this happen as well.

If you're paying for your own ticket, I think WT+ is a fine product on a relatively short sector like yours. If someone else is paying, I wouldn't turn down the flat bed.

I personally would not make a cabin or airline choice based on food, but I know there are others who would disagree!
