I agree on the advice to arrive as late as possible. I only do carry on with PYOBP and try to arrive less than an hour before the flight. But I usually don't have a problem with the PP lounges. One of them is used for evening EK and SR flights and kind of busy, but the other one is empty when I take the BA flight.
