For those debating FlyerTalk Rules / TOS, they specifically state:

Avoid Bumping Very Old Threads - link to this guideline
Unless there is a compelling reason, avoid bumping threads that are more than two years old. Often the information is out-dated and it clogs the forums, making it difficult to find current threads.
Generally, what this means to us Moderators and is intended to mean to all, is that unless the information is still current and there is a compelling reason, threads with no activity within the last two calendar years should be allowed to RIP.

There are times when a specific issue discussed more generally in an existing thread, even master or consolidated thread, may require a thread of their own. In this instance, an AMP/RBP will help Moderators decide which is the case, and where appropriate include a Moderator note with referring links.
