The MileagePlus Explorer card charges a 3% foreign currency fee so you might want to remove that card from your short-list.

The Sapphire Preferred might be a good option... It has no currency conversion fee and earns UltimateRewards points that can convert to MileagePlus (and a few other programs) at a 1:1 ratio... It also earns two points per dollar on travel and dining purchases and gives a seven percent bonus on all points earned in a year.

The annual fee is $95, but still less than the Club Card (unless you manage to get a fee waiver.)

Here is a link to Chase's page about the Sapphire Preferred: https://creditcards.chase.com/sapphi...referred-card/

I got in on the original CapitalOne Venture 100,000 "mile" bonus and hadn't intended on keeping the card. but I have been using it due to the lack of foreign conversion fees and I have been happy with the service... but the Sapphire Preferred would ultimately be more rewarding. (No pun intended.)
