spent three nights here. (HH Gold)
Booking.
Booked three nights Std King room using the PR code. About 15K yen (170.00 USD per night) Fairly pricey but I didn't book it because of the price.
Location. It's quite good actually. We took a limo bus from NRT at 2,400 yen each. Dropped us off directly at the hotel. The hotel is probably the closest to the Disney Monorail station for the "Disney Partner" Hotels. It is about a 5 minute walk between the two.
Got to the hotel. Porter took my bags immediately. Upgraded because of status to a King "Celebro" room on the top floor. This hotel is all about marketing to the Disney crowd. Families have the option of upgrading to the "happy family" room or the Celebro room.
The Celebro rooms come with two iPod stereos and a free mini-bar with water and soda replaced daily. The bed was again much firmer than I would like. (Why can't hotels have soft beds?) The room was in great shape and very funky looking. We had a great view of Disneyland and were able to watch the nightly fireworks. The bathroom was about the normal size for an American hotel, so larger than European or Asian bathrooms. Ran out of hot water during my shower one day.
Breakfast was comped. (I have points selected as my MyWay option). There are two main restaurants where one can eat breakfast. The coupons we got were for a specific restaurant. Breakfast was good with a large selection of choices for Japanese and Western tastes. Service was efficient, too efficient. If you left your table alone for any length of time they would clear it even if you were not done.
The hotel has a small shopping area with a Disney store, high end Disney artwork, and a convenience store. they have an ATM but it only works with Citibank American cards. The one ATM I found was in the Disney shopping district.
The monorail is 250 yen a hit, so I would recommend purchasing day passes if you are going to be there for any length of time. 650y 1-day, 800y 2-day. you will have to pay to get from the hotel to Disneyland and DisneySea. You have the option of walking to Disneyland though.
Customer service at the hotel is insanely good. The staff is so helpful, it makes the std US hotel service look pathetic.
