After how many trips does a place lose its luster?

So I was talking with some co-workers about overseas vacations and going to exotic places like Beijing, and they were rather surprised at how I mentioned the last time I was in Beijing, all I cared to do was stay at my cousin's house and eat pretty much Subway everyday I was there...but I didn't think too much about it as it was the 7th time that I had been to Beijing and I've already seen all the sights multiple times already...and I told them that from now on, for me to go to Beijing, it has to be Business Class or up or I don't bother going.

Of course, to them, Beijing is some exotic land far far away in some far different culture. To me, it's just a place my distant relatives live and I try to show up every 10 years or so to remind them of my presence . Furthermore, I've been pretty much all over the world, so the luster of traveling abroad has kinda grown on me...

So for you frequent travelers, how many times does it take for a city to get real old to you? I'm sure even Paris becomes just another city eventually...
