We had a nice stay here over Memorial Day weekend! Weather wasn't ideal, but it was still quite nice.

It was a 3 night stay. I had paid the first night with AAA rate and used a suite upgrade certificate on that night. Nights two and three were free nights we got from the Hyatt Chase Credit Card.

Upon check-in they told me we had been upgraded to a Lakeside Cottage for all three nights!! WOO HOO!! That was the last thing I was expecting, especially for a sold out Memorial Day Weekend stay. At the most I had been expecting an upgrade to a renovated room! We only have Platinum GP status currently, and this year, the only reason we have that is because of the credit card.

I feel like we really lucked out on the upgrade!!

We did however run in to several issues during our stay, but the properties General Manger, Fred Findlen, was excellent. He made good on everything. Great customer service from his end and that was much appreciated!

I do hope they plan to renovate the cottages, once they finish up with the main tower. They're a great size and have a beautiful location, but they could definitely use a nice renovation!

Dinner at Lone Eagle Grille was amazing!! The place was packed so I was glad we made a reservation, food was wonderful and so was the service! Definitely recommend if you're looking for a nice meal while staying there.

We also ate at Austin's across the street, which was pretty good, and T's BBQ, which was good as well, just know it's a cash only place.

We had Regency Club access which was nice for breakfast each morning and also great because we had a fridge in the cottage so we were able to stock up on water and soda from the club for the fridge. Seemed to be on the smaller side compared to other Clubs we've been in.

Not sure we'll make it back anytime soon, but it was nice to experience once.
