The timing of the QANTAS link flight CNS-HTI-CNS is to connect with the Jetstar flights from Asia that arrive in cairns about 5am or so and then depart to Asia around lunch.
The qf link flight is generally for connecting International pax. Those from southern Australia simply take Jetstar.
