Am I doing something wrong? If not, how do I explain the situation to the CS agent to make it work?


Ok, here is the situation:
I read the website T&Cs and it says double open jaws are permitted along with a stop over, but UA CS won't let me modify my current award ticket.

Currently, I have a saver first routing of IAD-LAX-SYD and returning BNE-BKK-NRT-IAD. I would like to add a stopover in SYD and extend my initial outbound trip to AKL. New outbound would be IAD-LAX-SYD(stopover)-AKL Can I do this? If so, how do I explain it to the agent? Is my current trip even a double open jaw or just a single open jaw?
