You could look into getting some fast drying t-shirts from Blacks/Milletts as that might ease the laundry situation a bit as you can just wash stuff in the sink in the evening and dry it in the bathroom overnight. I've never tried them so I don't know how quickly they actually dry

I also like Craghopper's Kiwi trousers for travelling in. Really light weight, dry fast, look reasonably smart and great for carrying passports, money etc. Perhaps zipoff trousers might be an alternative to shorts?
