As per the title...Do you use the BA bag tags? Do you change them each year with the new ones? Do you flash them proudly or think this is brash and ostentatious? If you do use them, do they survive the luggage handlers and belts? If you don't how do you mark your baggage to keep from people walking off with it or in case of lost luggage?
I'll start, I:
-do use BA tags on cabin baggage to help ID it from the many other black Tumi bags...
-don't use them on checked baggage for fear of it getting caught on some belt or ripping the bag in some way if it would get caught...Instead I place one or two A4 sheets inside with contact details in case it does get lost (one in an outside pocket people can get to and one inside...
-don't change them each year..this year the straps seem to be thinner and worse than last year and I have seen them loosen and come off too easily
-tend to use a luggage strap around the checked bags to help brightly ID them as mine and not that bloke over there...(unless he likes bright purple straps!)
-do change them depending on the airline I travel...so BA for one world flights, SEN tags for LH flights, etc...but don't keep all of them on there...
-have thought about using the wife's Sh_t (I mean Bronze) coloured tags instead, especially if I can annoy some DYKWIA type by having them instead of a higher colour...
I do try to do the flirting bag tag twirl while waiting and see if it gets any attention but haven't been taken up yet!
Curiously awaiting what others think and do!
