I was just on the phone with Skywards trying to clear my upgrade for the flight over to Dubai for the Do next month.

While I managed to get through to the ever elusive Gold Desk very easily, they didn't have those two seats they apparently reserve for Golds.

The agent told me that they have discontinued the upgrade waitlist for Gold members recently (within the last week), so while no one else will be added to the list and I will have priority as a Gold, I can no longer do so in the future.

That's it, I'm only flying F from now on.
