Don't you have to be flying on that airline as well to use their lounge with PP? I know to use the SC on an Am Ex platnium card you have to be on Delta metal, if you are flying UA they won't let you use the skyclub unless you are a full skyclub member.
PP lounges vary based on the lounge.
DL & AA are provided by Amex, not PP, and you must be flying the appropriate metal that day (departing or arriving is fine).
US (
not UA) is also provided by Amex, not PP, and you can be on any airline but must be flying that day (again, departing or arriving).
PP Select sends you an entirely different card, along with a little book of all the lounges and their various different policies. I've used JFK Oasis upon departure and arrival before without even presenting a BP, but I don't think that's an airline specific lounge anyway.
