My intended trip will be May 2013, with my two little ones.

To answer spgplat21's question, initially I thought about staying at both properties, but I only have 5 nights at Kauai, and next 5 nights I will stay at W=A Grand Wailea in Maui.

Although I like to do hotel hopping (also island hopping), would you guys think to split between SRP and GHK during 5-night will be too much? Presumably 3-night at SRP and 2-night in GHK. To this end will it be a good mix of romantic and family oriented trip?
