No, not at all. I suspect the first and last delay to a BA flight due to a faulty APU was BA149. The captain claims he wasn't comfortable about the lack of info from BA re:situation in Kuwait and insisted that the APU was fixed. The story goes that this would give everyone more time to get info.

They were apparently the last flight to land in KWI, other airlines had re-routed, not BA. As the captain said "someone somewhere wanted us to land, and we did."

I'm sure it was a combination of a conspiracy that got cocked up!

It's an interesting discussion to have.
