We'll be connecting from Terminals C to D on the La Guardia airside shuttle bus next Wednesday. Our arriving flight is due in at 10 a.m. We have a 45 minute connection.

How crowded are the shuttle buses likely to be? I know it's a short ride but I'm trying to decide whether the hassle of the connecting bus makes it worthwhile to check bags rather than just use carry-on (or gate check.)
