Apparently a cancellation would be possible if the change had been by over 2 hours, but since they're able to offer what they see as a reasonable alternative, the best I can hope for is a free change to another flight the same day.

Perhaps I'll wait a day or two to see how efficient they're being with their BMI status matching, and call the Silver line to see if they're a bit more amenable...
