I've been a GCH since I was 21, and can't say I've noticed much difference in treatment in the last 12 years. Onboard greeting is pretty sporadic, some CSDs seem to get round just about all the GCH onboard. I would say that in the years I make GGL the greetings are much more frequent.
I've been greeted only once, and that was when I flew WT for the first time in years. Maybe they felt sorry for me?
