I prefer aisle seats, and don't want to be zapped extra for it being wider. If they make it better, that, I'll pay for, but wider? Just so super-sized people can fit? I much prefer aisles so I can head to the bathroom without tripping over people. The last thing I want is to be seated at the window with the prospect of tripping over an even-larger-than-normal person.

And even if UA lets *G & above reserve those seats at no extra charge, they're still going to go away faster than normal, leaving me with a middle or window.

Seriously. Bad. Idea.

Thinking about it, the best reason I can think of for United not adding wide aisle seats is the elite "problem." Too many of them would likely go to "overly entitled" elites at no charge.
