...when flying on US? I've tried this dozens of times, and never once gotten it to work. As a mostly DCA-based flyer, I'm forced onto US quite a bit (where I have US Platinum via AmEx Centurion) but keep earnings with UA in order to make sure I hit 1K.
Not sure - some carriers (like SQ and US it seems) restrict their own FFs to the FQTV field, only allowing the FQTS field to be used with other carriers' FF numbers.
Putting UA in FQTS and US in FQTV would definitely work.
