A 777 engine swap can be done in around 6 hours. That's likely all it would need (and a new crew, of course).
If they don't have a GE90-110/115 sitting around at Pearson (they're the same engine; they only differ in software), then bringing one up from Peebles shouldn't be a big deal.
Its good they were able to find the liberated parts as they can now be subject to proper metallurgical analysis. The GE90's have had their share of unscheduled shutdowns, unfortunately.
