However, no matter I plan my flights, I can never get it to that price. The cheapest I can make it was MYR 5600++ which is more than MYR 1000 or USD 300 difference. I know that the ticket price depends on the exchange rates, but MYR 1100 difference? That's too steep! For my previous flight to Paris, I accidentally bought a ticket thinking that the advertised price would be shown at the end. It never did because I ended up paying more than the quoted price. So this is actually the second time it happened to me.

If anyone can tell me how to get the advertised price, I would be extremely grateful for a flight from July 10 onwards.

Secondly, I tried to get the lowest price tickets for my outbound and inbound flights but the lowest price of one flight would increase by MYR200 if I pick both lowest prices tickets automatically. Can you explain why that is to me? Thank you in advance!

No its not a 'technical' issue .. but rather, the availability is just close to zero for the period that this fare is made available to the public. Plus the married segment rule..

From what I can find...

Fare basis is : WPE3MMY for a base fare of MYR 3385 plus tax.
Travel must be on at least QR 1623/QR 621/QR 625 one way..
Ticket must be ticketed by 31 May for all departures up to 31AUG for outbound. Return must be within 3 months.

The biggest issue is trying to find the "W" class for the dates that you want.. it is nearly impossible to do that on line without getting an ulcer and pulling your hair out as probably you need to look day by day for W class. You can however mix the next fare up which is E class with W. But the website may not give you that option.

Your best best, Icicle is to go to a travel agent in KUL and get them to find you the date that has "W" class. You have to be flexible, and if its not available, you have to book next class up, which is "E" class, and so on. Return you can try for "W" class. And again then next class up.

I never bother with the website. Its quite rubbish really.

Its much faster getting a TA to do the searching for you and to offer you a selection of dates. And a good travel agent *might* even suggest that you can get better availability if you decide to depart from say...BKK? (You have to get to BKK yourself though)..

BKK-IAH return books into H class.. which has better availability than W class and no ticket by 31 May restrictions.

Return is MYR 3403 plus 1540 tax = MYR 4943

========
Or a really good agent might even suggest you departing from SGN .. cos the return fare to IAH is as low as MYR 2867, plus tax 1507, = MYR 4374 (Book in U class) If "H" class is available, you can pay as little as : MYR 4218 !!

You must of course go to the departure point yourself and you must return to origin. You cannot return to KUL.
