There is definitely a disconnect between the Corporate sign policies and what works in reality.

I have been confused in SFO where the line that is closest to the International Terminal does not say 1K.

In TPE, they have this "sign placed between lines" problem. They used to have separate 1K and GS/First lines. Now, they are all together (I think it is GlobalFirst, Global BusinessFirst, 1K, GS). That makes the wait extremely long for First and GS customers - not good when BR and CI have dedicated check-in lounges for First Class customers. The agent I talked to said this is the new policy from HQ.
