Lunch

To start
Warm mixed nuts almonds and Mai Tai

Appetizer was a bit mediocre. Two small shrimp with cocktail sauce and a small salad with oversized cucumbers and tomatoes.

I think salads as a side dish only available on Hawaii/transcons now... Cheap cheap cheap.

Lunch Entree-Choice of

Beef filet with noodles and vegetables

or

Vegetarian Pasta Dish

Chose the beef. It was good - tasted more like short rib though

FA asked "What kind of bread would you like? Oh wait, never mind, you don't get a choice anymore." Yep, story of COdbaUA.

Dessert

Ice cream sundae

Snack basket about an hour and a half before landing.

A good service that filled our stomachs, but AA still has (by far) the best service to HNL with the Hawaiian inspired dishes.

It's interesting how much they have added to transcons/Hawaii flights (dessert AND snack basket) vs cutting side salads and portion sizes on *any* flight that's less than that....management is making weird decisions when it comes to meals and length of flights.
