Air Canada isn't exactly a model airline website so it's no surprise it can be beaten fare-wise . I can't remember the last time I used a TA or third-party website but one trick is to price out the same flight(s) as codeshares on other airlines. UA is consistently less than AC for the exact same flight; AA vs. BA same thing and I'm sure there are other examples.
