Excess capacity? The beauty of the free market is that it works better than every other method to get rid of excess capacity. Consumers decide and the supplier with the crappiest product goes.
Don't know what to make of VS and YVR other than that VS has decided its a better use of the aircraft than SFO. Hopefully it ll stick around and flush out some of the excess capacity (if it even exists).
