There's really no great hotels within the 5 mins away from the airport. If you are staying close near the airport, I would recommend the Sheraton LAX as there's free shuttle from the airport. The Westin LAX is out of the way more but that's my second choice. All of the major airport hotels offers shuttle service. If I was you and staying a few nights, I would stay somewhere else thou.
