Why exactly do people want to have half a dozen segments flying from A to B and back? I'm a bit confused--did you manage to squeeze in long layovers so you could spend time in those middle cities, or do you just want to fly as much as possible? If I were to go to vacation somewhere, I'd just want to get there as quickly as possible, and certainly not spend perhaps 30 hours on the plane each way.

some people have ample vacation time to fly around
some people really want to avoid flying United.
some people want to squeeze in 23 hour stops en route
If I am going in vacation for a few weeks, I dont really care how long it takes there, and tend to choose the way of getting there basedo on the quality of the product when using miles.
