747 is a lot more flexible.
Well 747's aren't exactly common in Kazakhstan either so I imagine most emergency fields aren't equipped for them either. There was a BA 747 that diverted to KZ some years ago (fire warning in the hold) and they had to fly in a 767 and 2xA320 to get the passengers out.
