Excuse me? I am a male 1k and don't read it that way. Gender and status has nothing to do with it - but common sense does. If you don't get that young children need to be seated next to an adult relative then you are completely clueless.

If you have flown as much as you think then you would know that seat assignments aren't guaranteed, and equipment changes at last minute (as it did for me recently). When this happens you will lose your seats - it doesn't matter if you are elite or paid for E+ or checked the seating chart every day before you flew (as I did). There is nothing more any responsible person could have done, except pick a different airline that gets it.

I don't blame you for not volunteering to switch seats - that's entirely your right. But that doesn't excuse the airline for not fixing a problem they created.
