ELTAA serves a good purpose to keep high-level elites continually loyal, but fades out, I think, at the 125EQP threshold unnecessarily. As others have said, there's nothing guaranteed thereafter and, after my experience achieving higher levels last year (over 200 eqp), I can attest that nothing was forthcoming, despite request. So I and my spouse both quit at that level (125 EQP). UA keeps the SWU's coming, with 2 more for every 50 eqm over 100k. I'll hit 200 eqm with UA easily this year, but doubt if it would be a healthy thing to keep flying more (one should have a life, IMHO).

Comparing the "new" UA with AA at higher levels: For 125 eqp on AA, one could rack up 12 EVIP's. Flying that on UA would rack up only 6 SWU's, but would add on 6 regionals. Doing another 25K elite flying on UA would then get 2 more SWU's and 2 more regionals. Regionals keep accumulating at 2 for every 25K and SWU's keep adding on with 2 for every 50K eqp's as previously mentioned.

So it doesn't make it that easy to "bolt" over to UA if SWU's are what one wants, but going for a higher level of status may be worth it on an individual basis. Can't recommend DL because the program just sucks too much. And, no doubt, UA's mileage plus has seen better days.
