First sign into your account using you Mileage Plus number and password.

Then you buy a ticket. in about 5 minutes after you pay for your ticket, when you view your ticket, you will see offers to" increase your miles". Pick either double or triple miles and pay for them.

Wait for the miles to appear in your account, which might be another 5 minutes, then go ahead and cancel your ticket.

You have 24 hours to cancel a ticket if you are a Mileage Plus member. The charges for the airfare will disappear from your credit card in about 24 hours. C'est Tout!
