I guess you could get lucky with an equipment swap on other routes, but otherwise you only get extra legroom, not extra recline.
I called DL and they assured me that I'd get the extra recline on this flight.
There may be a different interpretation of "domestic" (50 states) vs. N. America (which HNL is not).
