three tickets, two people, one complicated booking question

Hi FT,

Here's the scenario: I'm flying this weekend with my fiance. We're both using skypesos on domestic award tickets. I am PM and have been upgraded on both legs of the return flight. She is FO and has not been (nor will she be) upgraded. There are many, many seats available up front on all legs of the trip. The one-way ticket for our return flights is inexpensive, and the upgrades are "available." I went ahead and bought this ticket; the upgrades went through. I now have two seats in my name in first for our return legs (one award, one revenue).

I just called the platinum desk to clarify that this was kosher, and the agent said it should be fine, but I wonder what FTers think. Will my fiance and I be sitting up front? Will I get miles for the one revenue seat? I assume I'll have to OLCI for both of my tickets, but will they both need to be scanned at the gate?

Thanks in advance for any insights.
