Experience and etiquette on here would suggest that there is greater likelihood of gaining extra admissions into a lounge if you approach the guardians on your own, without the other family members present. But I also suspect likelihood of admittance decreases with ages of additional children, and number of same (ie fewer and younger kids more likely to be allowed).
