Interesting discussion with Agent on using SkyMiles for AR

With the possibility of redeeming flights on Aerolineas Argentinas with SkyMiles and given the relatively good value (I'm looking at AEP-FTE which is very expensive normally and a good 3+ hour flight) at 10,000 points one way its not a bad deal. A couple of observations based on my discussion with the agent (who seemed to have to ask her supervisor each time as AR is a new partner)

- Redeeming flights in Economy goes into T class which is fine (lots of seats in Sept). However, when looking at Business they are told to book into U but only shows inventory in P. The agent suspects this is an error as she cannot find U seats for a good number of days. She tried booking into P but does not price out at 15,000 which is what it says on the website.
- Routing: transit flights less than 4 hours will cost double. For example, from FTE-AEP-MDZ will cost 20,000 in Economy even if you only have a 1 hour connection in AEP. Seems strange.

Does anyone else have any experience with redeeming SkyMiles on AR? Any luck?

EDIT - just notice on the AR website that AR offers "Club Economy" but the seats/service seems to be Business (ie 1-2 seating on the Embr. jets rather than 2-2 in Economy) ... maybe this is the cause of confusion?
