All this does is force me to waste time taking off shoes, getting out liquids and opting out of the rapescanner, when CBP just let me into the country with nary a look. If I were going to engage in shenanigans, wouldn't I have done it on the LHR-JFK leg?!

I recognise that this isn't the TS/S forum, but I find it absolutely insane that having gotten off a plane to London invalidates me for trusted traveler treatment, despite the fact that my onward flight is domestic. It has no bearing at all on whether I should be trusted or not.
