The whole differentiation between international and domestic is silly in and of itself. First of all, in the US they all leave from the same place; if you passed TT muster but still had nefarious intentions you could always be the one smuggling whatever contraband your partner taking the int'l flight might need, and there is nothing, as far as I know, that would keep you from booking a connecting segment on a separate PNR to connect to an int'l flight so you could potentially use PreCheck at the initial point of origin and then switch PNRs airside.
