ba.com is hopelessly broken as a source of award flights. You can use aa.com to find sAAver awards or expertflyer to find them as well. Once you do, you can try to book them on ba.com or just call to make the reservation.
I did the latter (call) to book a J on AA from exJFK to MXP for my wife.
