You could go another half hour up the coast and stay at either the Port Hueneme or Ventura locations and be in walking distance of a really nice beach. Although both of those properties have seen better days.

There is also a Radisson near LAX that you could hit on your way out if you have a morning flight. Radisonn downtown (near USC), while not in a great neighborhood, would be better situated for the LA tourist attractions. There is also Buena Park, right near Disneyland but not near Hollywood.
as i mentioned in the earlier post, i am only visiting hollywood area, universal studios, which are like 20 miles from chatsworth area.

usc is too expensive, buena park is even far, and lax is not too good location. i will have a car, and starting little early due to traffic/distance is a trade-off i can live with, then staying in a not so good area.
