So let me get this straight... You went to a dentist, in extreme pain. He diagnosed the problem, but won't fix it for 2 weeks. He then let you leave without pain-killers of any sort, and expects you to suffer for the interim 2 weeks.
Please explain why you would ever consider going back to this dentist? Please see a competent dentist asap. If this is the way he treats his patients, I am not sure you can even trust his diagnosis.
