When I take my east-bound TATL trips I am at the end of my holiday rather the start, but I'm happy to take the sleeper service. Although you don't quite get enough sleep to get you through the whole of the next day, it does allow me to go straight to the office, do some work, and then just get an early night.

If I had unlimited time I'd probably take a day flight, but as I don't I'd rather save a day of my holiday and get enough sleep on a sleeper service to get me through the following day.
