I'm a Southwest flyer (with Delta #2) who recently moved to XNA and am now converting to an AA flyer since it's cheaper. I just signed up for AAdvantage as well. (Not a huge fan of AA but that's another thread for another day)

My question is about preferred seats. On the DFW-FLL and FLL-DFW portion of my route which starts and ends in XNA, the flight appears full with just 4 preferred seats left. I paid and purchased them since I'd rather know where I'm sitting. Does this mean my flight will be full, though? I know some airlines seat maps appear full and then the flight is empty. It's the week after Memorial Day so it seems like it would be a bit of a slower week comparatively. I was also told that if a blue seat opens up and I choose it, they will refund the money I paid for the preferred seat. It is worth noting that I paid $19 on DFW-FLL and got a window, but $24 on FLL-DFW and got a MIDDLE!

Also as a second aside, I want to get a day pass for the Admirals Club at DFW for one of the travel days. Is it worth it? Any recommendations on where I go? I also read that Delta has a cheaper one-day pass for their SkyClub in DFW and you just need a valid boarding pass for any airline to use it, so between the two which would you all suggest?
Relative to AC - think about getting an Amex Plat card - while the fees are expensive for a CC, it gets you into AA, DL, US clubs for free on days you are flying. So, if they are something you use, it's a good deal.
