There are few sites that allow you to do a 30-day search for a hotel just like ITA does for flights. I know Travelocity will allow this, but only after you pick a specific hotel.

I think Hipmunk works very well for comparing different hotels, especially when displaying their relative locations and nearby attractions. Much better than Kayak IMO. And it also allows you to filter by hotel brands. There are no ads (yet), which is nice. I've written two reviews of Hipmunk vs. Kayak:
