The best beach I have found lately is Ngapli in Mynamar. This place is out of this world, I have never seen sand or clarity of the water ever this clean. If you need an address, check out Amazing Resorts. In Vietnam we stayed at the Hyatt in Danang, a new development which was just opened when we arrived on their doorsteps. Then, it was half ready and lacked soul, lacked everything else too, but friends have written that they have their act together and have even put on a shuttle service to Hoi Ann, which is beautiful. This place had so much promise, when it fires it will be brilliant. I loved the beach places around Kampot ( remember the pepper) in Cambodia and an Australian couple have opened a charming island resort, which you would love, it is called Song Saa. Other than that I have always enjoyed the colonial architecture and food of the Penang Island, I spend as much time as I can on the island of Bali which is heaven on earth all year round
